South of the old fortified city, farmland and estates evolved into new districts after the 1860s city planning competitions. We travel from Haga and Sprängkullen, through university areas and boulevards, to Avenyn – the city's new grand avenue. Hear about the buildings, people and ideas that defined modern Gothenburg.
